In the year of Queen Elizabeth II's coronation, the Vegemite label reflected its association with the American company Kraft. Kraft's logo, a 'K' in a hexagon, appeared for the first time just above the word "Vegemite".
1954
1954 was a memorable year for Vegemite. For the first time, the "Happy Little Vegemites" jingle rang out from speakers across the country, and an advertising classic was born. A catchy tune that caught our imagination like no other, it was a song for the times, a song for healthy children in a "Lucky Country" where living standards were rapidly rising.
