1970
1970 bought significant change to the Vegemite label in the form of the rounded corners of the diamond. The Kraft logo was moved up and over the lower end of the diamond, transforming the label into much as we know it today.
1972
A new advertising campaign uses the phrase "Pass the Vegemite please Mum" in magazines and in radio. It goes on to become a very popular slogan.
In other parts of Australia, a landmark decision grants Australian women equal pay in recognition of their contribution to the workforce.
1976
In 1976 Australia was introduced to colour television, and television, particularly advertising, was never the same again. The "Pass the Vegemite please mum" press and radio campaign was reworked into a TV commercial that would run for several years.
Also, 1976 was the year the world was introduced to a small little device called the personal computer.
